Utilizing Illustrator, this ornament used layered images broken into vector shapes, via the live tracing feature. That also included varying line weights and colors that mirrored the shape of the main diamond, to create both synergy and consistency. The color scheme used all align with the vector colors seen on the background.

Techniques used was the live trace tool for the background image and cat portrait. Then using the shape creation feature to create the diamond shapes to mask over the images, then using the diamonds to create outlines. To create the three diamonds that vary in color tone and are evenly spaced out, the blend tool was used. Finally, the Type Tool was used for the "SM" copy seen in the right-side.
